Our Midwife clinic in Berlin offers Pregnancy yoga & pilates courses to strengthen your mind, body, and spirit throughout your pregnancy. With this feminine holistic approach to yoga & pilates, learn to tune into what your body needs. The Pregnancy Yoga classes will help you adapt to “yoga for two” throughout the three semesters and post natally. Through movement, breath-work, meditation, health advice & pilates these classes will guide you through every stage of pregnancy while tapping into your natural intuition as a mother.

When the body and posture changes during your pregnancy it can be balanced out through yoga. Pregnancy yoga also helps with back pain as we teach you specific muscle training and relaxation exercises for carrying the weight of your belly. You’ll end each class feeling calm, confident, and courageous.

Our pregnancy yoga & pilates course is a yoga program with specialised exercises and yoga practices for pregnant women. This is not just a physical practice — it is one equally of the heart teaching you to soften into self awareness. These classes will help keep your body healthy and strong as you prepare for labor, calm your emotions and relieve anxiety, and connect you to your baby and your body. These courses are perfect combining with our birth preparation course for couples.

After giving birth the female body is very sensitive and requires special care. We offer specialised post natal yoga classes that you can attend 3 months after giving birth. Our Postnatal yoga classes are gentle and specialised for the pelvic floor. Postnatal yoga classes are also suitable for women wanting. more feminine practice and and woman during pregnancy. 

Feminine yoga & pilates for women

Our postal yoga classes are also directed to all women who would like to explore a more feminine slow paced yoga practice. A lot of yoga studios around the world have a very linear male approach to yoga. In our yoga classes we focus on the female body and the pelvic floor and encouraging a more kind & gentle practice.

frequently asked questions about our yoga pregnancy courses

 

  • Are the classes in the yoga & pilates course for pregnant women linked to each other or can you repeat a class that you missed?

The course consists of 8 consecutive classes (important for the health insurance must be 8 classes in total). Should appointments be missed (through holiday, illness, …) they can be repeated in another course for pregnant women if there is a free spot available. 

  • Can you join the Pregnancy Yoga & Pilates courses anytime?

Yes, the pregnancy yoga and pilates courses are so called open courses, where the entry is possible anytime if there is a free spot.

  • How does the certificate for the medical insurance work?

The certificate for the health insurance will be handed out by the instructor at the end of the course.

  • When are the course costs freed from value added tax?

The tax authorities allow doctors and midwives to not calculate taxes on courses if the service serves a therapeutic cause.

When you receive a diagnosis from our medical/midwife clinic and the diagnosis documented in the system. For example you don’t have to pay the tax if you have muscle tensions.
